Well I know the price has gone down and its a lot cheaper at wallgreens or wherever. The sharper image store is more of a rip off. I did some research about the Braun electric shavers, the Sychron and the Activator. The Activator appealed to me because of the unique foil design. My guess is that denatured (no water content) alcohol will work well if 2 or 3 drops of lubricant are added. I suggest baby oil or mineral oil, no synthetics or petroleum based lubricants. I have not been able to determine if the Braun fluid has any type of disinfectant in it.
