Hi All I recently upgraded my Toshiba laptop from Win 7 Pro to Win 8 Pro. Protector Suite worked fine on 7 except for the boot security - the Fingerprint prompt didn't work and I had to enter the password each time - from within the OS, everything worked fine. However, with Win 8, I have the opposite problem.

At boot up, I get the Fingerprint prompt and this works fine but once the operating system is loaded, Protector Suite fails to work - it used to run on startup but now doesn't. When I run the Control Centre from the Apps list it appears to load and the icon appears in the systray.

When I try to run it, all I get is an OS message saying that 'Protector Suite has stopped working. Windows is collecting additional information'. I have been to the Protector Suite website and downloaded and installed the Win 8 compatible version and the updated drivers. I did not uninstall the original as I was concerned at losing all of the accumulated data, settings and security records. Any assistance would be appreciated.
